HTML5 = Death of Flash?

->> I read some report about Steve Jobs trying to get the Wall Street Journal on board with the IPAD and one of their objections being lack of Flash. Steve is selling it like Flash is old world tech like a floppy drive. HTML 5 means no more need for it.

Add to that Google moving away from flash as they convert to HTML5.

Are those of you with flash websites making any plans to switch to a non-flash format? Are the big hosting/flash page design companies offering any kind of switchover or is html5 too new for this to come up?

->> The problem with it:
One browser will support it in the next 3 years. One browser won't. (Guess which one). Others will be in between.

And then some media company will have issue with the video codec and it'll go *splat*

Web developers will still just be begging for CSS compliance, which is all we really want or need :)
