Currently I wear 5.11 Tac Lite gloves. http://tinyurl.com/yj2acbe They are thin enough to give me full functionality of my fingers. The leather palm side keeps the cold metal of the camera off my hand. On the really cold days, they are still thin enough to slide into a pair of flip top "hobo" gloves. Good dexterity thanks to the rubber bumps. I picked them up at Gander Mountain several years ago. I got them for christmas, so they didn't cost me anything. I would recommend them. They aren't waterproof, as stated, but are pretty warm. Sometimes even too warm. I have short, thick fingers and the fit is the best of any winter/weather glove I have used for shooting.
