->> I'd like to see some of the deliberations over using that image over the shot of "the" interception and subsequent celebratory run into the endzone. Watching Brees hold his son on tv with tears in his eyes was definitely awesome, but I know there had to be some back and forth going on between that cover and another.

->> They should make one of those unstoppable force commercials about David being both talented and super cool! It looks like he had the best angle on the best moment of the game. I wonder how the SI photographers worked together to cover it?

->> Wesley: I too wonder about the deliberations involved in selecting this shot for the cover. Fantastic decision as this clearly tells the bigger story, but surprising nonetheless given the tendency toward game-changing moments of action.

->> perhaps the deliberation involved wanting women to be more drawn to SI than normally-and this cover does just that.

->> It's awful that I can't recall the name of the shooter ... but there was a somewhat similar shot, only from directly behind Brees, in the Charlotte paper that Monday. To be honest, I liked it even better, because it was a great angle on the son smiling down at his dad. The only flaw with it was one piece of confetti partially blocked a small section of the boy's face, but otherwise it is an awesome shot. Both of them are.

Best,
