| ->> Our paper might have to drop Pictopia as our image sales site as they may raise their rates to $200 a month. I have been looking at other hosting sites and came across Zenfolio which partners with Mpix. Anyone use them, hear anything good or bad about them? |

->> I have nothing but good things to say about zenfolio. I use them as my sales side of my site but they are reasonably priced and allow me to set my own prices and what I want to sell. They also allow digital downloads which is nice.
Check out my site at Turfimages.com and click on one of the pictures on the bottom of the home page to take you to zenfolio.
If you need any help with anything feel free to drop me an email.
Hope that helps. |

->> Zen is not only cheap but great to work with. With allowing custom looking sites now you can make it your own (to a point of course).
Mpix is a solid solid print company and I believe their big brother is millers printing.
You can not go wrong with zenfolio, period.
I might add you do not need to know css or html in order to make a custom looking site either.

->> David,
do you resize the images you put up to exactly the size people can order, or do you resize to the various sizes? (5x7, 8x10, 11x14, etc)

->> Debra,
I know you did not ask me, but zenfolio allows you to upload a web based image then upload a final edited image to complete an order.
Or you can upload the full rez image and crop correctly when you approve the order.
Both are options and both work well. |

->> Debra,
I crop to 5x7 since those are my most sold sales, however the majority of the time I will upload full resolution images to take care of any problems that might be had. |

| ->> I have been with them for a couple of years and have not had any problems. I also use them for my personal prints and they are really great. I upload full size images cropped the way I think looks good and the customer can crop how they like depending the size they order. When someone order it will show the best sizes for each photo in the price list. |

->> Zenfolio has been a consideration for me and it appears as though their site is user friendly both for the customer and photographer. I have used mpix.com a number of times and once had a 16x24 print made that looks flawless. Their packaging to protect your product is well done and they have a quick turnaround time.
A membership at $100 a year for unlimited storage space is pretty tough to beat when it seems like everyone is trying to reduce costs. There is a good chance I will go with Zenfolio in the near future. |

| ->> Can't say enough about all the good upgrades they have done recently and I think the price is perfect for all that you get. Unlimited storage is a plus. Ordering is a breeze, quick delivery, or you can choose to work with a local printer too. Love the flexibility in the presentation. It also enables you to develop a site on your own if you wish and upload that. There is so much more that I still need to discover and look into. Very simple to navigate around. I've been with Zenfolio user for just over a year and very pleased with what they offer. |

->> How about printroom.com?
Anyone using them at all? They have been my source since I met them starting out at an old Sportshooter convention in 2002 or 3, but wondered if anyone here still likes them? I am not so thrilled with their interface anymore, seeing others had nicer ones, and haven't really used them in awhile. |

->> Does anyone know if Zenfolio/Mpix has a color profile for
photoshop to preview images with? Printroom supplies
one and I've been looking at both websites trying to find
info about it but can't. It's not critical but is a nice
thing to have.
Zenfolio at $100 a year for unlimited storage does sound
awfully nice.

| ->> Packages aren't available on Zenfolio yet. The only option is to make it a "Custom Product" and fulfill it yourself. |
