PILFERED promoting web democracy??? Get gauze first...

->> Here is a new concept website - Caution... move away from your desk BEFORE you read this portion of their mission statement.

"PILFERED is a place where artists, photographers, designers, and the inspired can submit their favorite visuals pilfered from the web to share with one another. Founded on the spirit of web democracy, and built to aid in communicating ideas and concepts, PILFERED Magazine aims to assist in speaking the thousand words – visually."

Read complete statement here:
http://www.pilferedmagazine.com/blog/about/

It appears...I want to stress the statement appears.. since the photos are uncredited are ~ pilfered ~ and uploaded to the site then used in an electronic publication.

Here is a link to another discussion on the site:
http://bcphotoadventures.wordpress.com/2010/01/29/the-latest-in-scumbaggery...

But here is the funny part (if the mission statement was hilarious enough) contradictory of the statements: "Prohibited Uses....

...contravenes any application law or government regulation,...

...may infringe the intellectual property rights or other rights of third parties, including trademark, copyright, trade secret, patent, publicity right, or privacy right,"

The site owners advocate pilfering the works of others to post to their site, but under their Privacy Policy ...lol... prohibit the very act of infringement...

Confusing contradictions indeed.

One more warning... some content on the site may be considered adult 'art'.
