->> I found a Nikon lens shade that I think is from one of the newer 400mm f/2.8 lenses. It was the second shade that connects to the first shade... why they do that, I'll never know... but at any rate I know they are very expensive to replace. the lens shade had the name, "Lane," on it, printed in black on a white sticker.
If your name ain't Lane, then don't bother Michael...
I left it in the care of the coolest Cajun I know, Michael Hebert, the Saints' team photographer. If you're missing that lens shade, give Michael a call and see if he's back from partying on Bourbon Street..., or was in Canal?
"WHO DAT" missing shade belong to????? |

->> Hey Patrick you might contact SS member Tyler Kaufman. I shot the game last night and he was assisting all the SI guys who were all shooting Nikon so he might know if it was one of theirs.
As I am sure you know the scrum was MASSIVE after the game so its know surprise there was equipment left after it was all said and done. I got hit by a tv camera and shattered the top lcd on one of my bodies. I hope you had a good game ! |

They do that so that the lens hood, when collapsed for transport, will fit on the lens because the tripod mount would otherwise be in the way. |
