usage question

->> I've searched through fotoquote to determine a price quote for a client, but would like some input. I took photos of a subject for a newspaper article. A hospital already purchased a small run (1000) copies of the article with photo a few months back. Now they want to make four 24x30 prints of the article and my photo. My photo will be less than 8x10 in the reprints. What would this fall under?

The article is about a subject who received treatment at this hospital. They would like to use the article to promote/educate people about this issue. Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance,
-stew

This will fall under Corporate.poster usage. I would use the 30x40 size catagory. It doesn't matter that your image is 8x10 in size. You can use the lower end of the quote if you feel inclined.

->> Client has clarified their usage. They are making four 11x17 reprints of the article with my photo to give as a present to individuals who helped launch the program that the article is about. This now seems like a personal usage, correct?

->> no. just because they're giving it away to individuals, doesn't make it personal use.

This is very similar to reprint usage that magazine often do. No, it isn't really personal use. It still falls under the catagory of marketing and public relations and show be priced accordingly.
