News: NPPAF Foundation Scholarships

->> The NPPA Foundation is awarding $14,000 in scholarships to college students this year.
Frank Folwell, the NPPAF's treasurer has put together a basic website with details and students can download the scholarship application form there: www.nppf.org
Frank also wanted to point out that the NPPAF has a $1,000 grant specifically to attend the TV News Workshop in Norman, Okla.
So students ... check this out...go to the site!
(NOTE: The NPPA Foundation is not part of the NPPA. It was founded by NPPA members to fund scholarships and the Kalish Workshop.) |

->> The National Press Photographers Foundation has added a new scholarship in the memory of Seattle Times photographer, Jimi Lott, bringing our total annual photojournalism scholarships to $14,000.
We have streamlined the application process so everything can be done online.
-- Download the online application form and submit via your email.
-- Upload your portfolio.
-- One application for five undergraduate scholarships.
-- Grad students who apply are eligible for three scholarships (two of our scholarships are open to undergrad and grad students).
-- Photos formatted for entry in CPOYi or NPPA Best of Photojournalism can be submitted without modification.
We hope to encourage creative college photojournalists who will help build a new model for journalism and photojournalism.
