->> Got to love it...
Listed on CL in LA:
Sports writer for Olympic coverage
A leading sports website is looking for talented writers to join its coverage of the 2010 Winter Olympics. For the duration of the Games, the site will host a live blog from a sports bar in Los Angeles and is looking for entertaining sports fans to provide witty takes and fresh analysis of the events. Compensation will be in food and drink at the bar. The time commitment is flexible but preference will be given to those who can devote more hours, especially late-night and early-morning shifts.
Please send resume and clips, along with availability from Feb. 12-28. |

->> Good God...It would be nice if just one website could act professionally when soliciting talent. I know some schmo will take these people up on their offer and they'll do it for free beer and peanuts..Peanuts? Working for peanuts?
...Hmm..free beer...Hmm
Who am I kidding. This what we will be looking forward to if something isn't done soon.

->> Well at least they're being more upfront than some of the other ads for journalists out there.
Plus, considering I don't a line about doing any actual writing, this doesn't sound too bad. Hell, if I had nothing to do some weekend night (what's an open day?), I'd be down to sit in a bar and eat free food for making some cracks about some skinny American in tight bodysuit flying down the luge...
On second thought, catching up on sleep might be nice... |

->> @Steve,
Yeah, I won't be submitting to that contest, but it' not a bad way to get to the Olympics if you were to win...
I browsed some of the images and a few are fairly decent, but dang... |
