->> To Whom It May Concern:
If you're going to send an obscene email at least have the guts to use your own name and email address so that an appropriate reply may be sent. |

Do you really think the perpetrator of this act is going to step foward with full disclosure, or is this the internet version of using a punching bag to get out some aggression? |

| ->> Perhaps the auto reply to self that SS sends out when a message is sent to another member could be used as a filter. If it bounces back because of an illegitimate email address, then the email isn't sent to the member. |

| ->> I think I said this a while back too. There should be a feature that members could invoke that would only allow other members to send email through the board AND inject the member's identity. |

->> Sadly, I think may of us feel the same way Jim does. To come to the office and have an e-mail as such, or even a voicemail on the desk phone that is 30 seconds of ranting but lacking what some would call 'testicular fortitude' (looking for laughs here) to leave their name.
Unfortunately it's part of free speech, and the part of it that most don't like. It's like the mad parent yelling in the stands at the game official but then sitting down really quick before they get seen. Never fails.
Wish I had the answers. All I can do is hope that people who do this at least have a little decency, and that leaving anonymous messages is one of the more negative acts they commit. |

->> the world would work so much better if every email was anonymous. you can't take anonymous emails seriously, so every message would sound a little ridiculous and therefore would in some way improve your day.
I would call this post "informative". (purely for the reviews of the internet dickwad theory.) |

I'm not going to publish it but suffice it to say that someone in or near Santa Barbara using the email address whatphotosb@yahoo.com from IP address 98.182.27.129 sent me an email laced with vulgarities that ended with some racist comments about out current President. |

->> I'd imagine if it was someone who looks at this board, the attention it is receiving is gratifying to that person. They'll be tickled to know it got you all worked up.
If it was just a random thing from someone who doesn't come here, then this is kind of pointless. |

Seems like everyone's panties are in a bunch about something these days. We all need to learn to smile more. Keyboard courage is a strange phenom. |

No guts. |
