MK IV or MK III

->> I'm looking at upgrading from my MKIIN's to either a Mk III or the new MK IV.
I read this posting on the message board here :

Is there anyone here that went from a MK III to the MK IV and has some opinions on whether or not the purchase was worth the price increase and the possible loss taken from selling their MK III's ?

->> Might wanna check this one out as well, has a AF and IQ comparison between the two.
The AF and ISO handling on the IV are noticeably better on the IV in my opinion, also it has video, a better LCD and more megapixels...so if those alone are worth the extra $3k or so then yeah go for it. Test them both out and see for yourself though.

->> I've had a 1D4 for a week, and have had a 1D3 since July '07. I'm impressed with the 1D4, definitely a step up in both image quality and AF. I'd say it's about 1-stop better in noise. However I am still currently satisfied with my 1D3. With the very low prices of used 1D3's here and at KEH, it's worth considering.

->> Agree with Andrew. I have had the Mark III since '07. IQ, AF and high ISO all better with the Mark IV. "Worth it" is relative and since it's return to canon my Mark III works well. But I am thrilled with the Mark IV.
