| ->> Is there any freeware out there that will allow me to send a link with a slideshow presentation for a client? If anyone has any suggestions, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks! |

->> You could get a free trial subscription to photoshelter.com, then upload a gallery of images and send the link to your client. Your client can play a slideshow of your gallery on the site -- slideshow functionality is part of the service. If you like the service, stay with them. I'm not associated with them, just a satisfied longtime customer.

->> You can download SoundSlides and use the trial version without limitations. You get a little preloader (tag) that says "Made with Soundslides Demo" at the beginning of the presentation, but it's not too bothersome. There is also a "Demo" comment in the comments that display on the screen (if you use comments, if you don't, the message won't display).
This is the first slideshow I ever made, with the demo version:

->> Hi Dirk,
I'm no expert at the various levels photoshelter offers -- I have a pro account so I get the whole shebang -- but to me it looks like the basic level offers slideshows. Here's a link to their features; note slideshows are indeed listed under basic:

I'd guess, though, that the slideshow might not come up automatically for your client and they'd have to click on a "slideshow" button once they're looking at your gallery. They'd get to your gallery via an html link you can email them.
It looks like with the basic subscription you could also use their slideshow widget, which lets you embed slideshows in blogs, websites, etc. But those are kind of small for client viewing; they're more meant to get people to click through to your galleries to see the images larger.
Shelley
