Need help finding prep sport resources
Wally Nell, Photographer

->> I work in Egypt and have been asked to shoot some sporting events at a local (American) university and sell to parents and students. I have shot this type of stuff in the States in years gone by, but have never had to find ways to market or print these. Are there any online resources out there where you can take a picture of an athlete and drop it into a fake SI cover, or something like that, and then print it or save it as a PDF or something? Are there any other similar types of 'cutouts' available as resources for these type of pictures? It's hard to explain what I need!

I have a meeting with the school in the next day or so and would like to have my ducks in a row, i.e. know what I can or can't offer.

Any pointers in the right direction would by very much appreciated.

->> Most "sports" photo labs offer products like you mention, but I don't know you'll find an SI cover -- they're usually generic to avoid copyright and licensing issues. (I don't know if this type of product would appeal to a college athlete or not.) I would suggest posting galleries and selling from there, although it takes a while to build a market.

->> Thanks for the reply Dave. My problem is that I will need to have it printed here. I know I can upload to some labs to make fake mag covers, but it seems they need it printed there.
Anybody else? Is there a site for prep shooters similar to sportsshooter?
