G10 spot visible in photos

->> My G10 has a spot that's only visible when the lens is closed down. It shows up on pics. There are no visible scratch marks on the front element. I did have a mold/fungus problem with other gear in the apt. The cam is going to Canon for an estimate. Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else here ?

->> Just had my nearly brand new G10 into canon for two dust spots on sensor that showed in all the pix. Canon cleaned it for free. I started thru my CPS contacts and they gave me over to another dept in Canon that works on the Powershots. The info they gave is:

630-850-6500.

->> Thanks for that info, Harrison. The lens on my G9 just stuck in the out position.

On a related note, what is it about expensive cameras that babies find irresistible? Sigh.

On an unrelated note, I hope that post was marked funny by someone who disregarded the "10" in the title.

->> My G9 quit working after owning it for 13 months. The bill was $160 for the repair, which is what my wife's camera cost. Hmm...
