It shows up on pics. There are no visible scratch marks on the front element. I did have a mold/fungus problem with other gear in the apt. The cam is going to Canon for an estimate. Canon cleaned it for free. I started thru my CPS contacts and they gave me over to another dept in Canon that works on the Powershots. The info they gave is: 630-850-6500.
