Saban Gatorade bath photos?

->> Hello,
I was wondering if anybody knows the back story to the "Saban Gatorade bath".... Usually when I see any -air quotes- "baths" on TV, I notice more the photogs shooting it instead of the actual "bath". I like to see how they chose to shoot it, what equipment they used etc. etc. But I digress. This year I didn't notice ANY photogs around the coach shooting the Gatorade bath. Curious, was security extra tight at that game, not allowing any photogs in the bench area? Players RAN to coach? Anyway, hope to hear the back story. Random, but intriguing to me. |

| ->> Given the recent problems heavily discussed on this board in the last week, I was happy to notice the ABSENCE of photographers in the Saban dump shot. Appears to me that everyone adhered to the rules this time. |

->> One possible reason most photographers did not shoot the Gatorade dump was because it happened at the same time Alabama players were celebrating a touchdown in the endzone.
Photographers were told at a pregame meeting not to go on to the field until the game was over. Security was tight but I think most photographers acted professionally and worked together well. |

| ->> I believe another reason most did not get the Gatorade dump on Saban, because it wasn't a long drawn up process. The two players grabbed a bucket a threw it up against Saban's head and that was the end of it. Don't think a lot of the team was aware of it. |

->> Interesting back story. Thanks, I did not notice this on TV,"it happened at the same time Alabama players were celebrating a touchdown in the endzone."
Sorry, didn't mean to resurrect that other topic. That subject didn't even cross my mind.
"You had to be at both the Rose Bowl and BCS Championship Game....."....lol..... don't I wish... :P |

->> Chuck,
Just want to clarify, I had no doubt that SOMEBODY made that image, just didn't notice a bunch of shooters with 16-35mm's hanging from their neck and two feet from the head coach, is all. |

->> Ivan,
Actually, my point was the same as the author's - let's do something else besides a Gatorade dunk to celebrate a win. The obligatory photo is blase' because the tradition itself is.
