Anyone ever use the Adorama NP-E3 in a Mark IIN?

| ->> Adorama has their NP-E3 battery on sale for $34.95, and it has been hit or miss with me in the past when buying replacement batteries for use in my 1D and Mark IIN bodies. Has anyone ever used the Adorama version? Do they hold their charge well? Feel free to e-mail me directly at brianw@sportsonfilm.com. |

->> I'm glad that Jeff hasn't had any returned, but when I was faced with the very same decision, I looked at my own experience.
I got a Canon 1D a couple of years ago that came with a Canon battery and a 'no-name' battery.
I then purchased two more ProMaster batteries from a local camera store. (Which actually cost about double what Adorama is selling their house brand for today.)
By November of 2009 I was getting what felt like a mere handful of shots on any but the Canon battery.
One of the ProMaster batteries, in fact, would - after a complete discharge and recharge cycle - be capable only of turning on the camera and getting focus. Maybe one picture, then it turned off.
The other ProMaster was a bit better, but none of the four were able to be used very long.
So instead of going with the cheaper ones, I decided to get a brand new Canon.
It's given me back the peace of mind that I haven't had for more than six months. (I'd be at a nightclub shooting, and would have to recharge the batteries between sets in the car. Not fun.)
And, for what it's worth, I got the Canon from Adorama. |
