->> Has anyone who has been using a new Macbook Pro with the optional antiglare screen got any comments on its durability? One or two UK photographers have had issues with the screen getting marked which doesn't happen with the shiny one. I am in the market for a replacement for my nearly 3 year old Macbook Pro which has a very badly marked screen despite me trying to be careful!

->> I haven't had any issues - had a 3-year-old one, and now am using the new matte screen and it's doing great.
There was some very light marking from the keys on the older macbook rubbing on the screen (and they only showed up at the end of its life); that's been addressed in the recent ones by setting the keyboard down into the body a bit more. |

->> I have a new antiglare MBP. No issues yet after ~3 months of use. The work-issued MBP I use is just under 3 years old and gets residue from the keyboard on the screen. Every few months I use the same lens cleaner & cloth on the screen that I use on my lenses & the keyboard marks come right off. Not a major issue in my opinion. If it happens on my new MBP I'll do the same thing.

->> same here, I just clean the screen with a little lcd screen cleaner kit I picked up at Office Max. I'm on my second MBP 17" with matte screen.

->> Ok on this topic I have a 3 year old glossy MBP that I do not use very much since I do most of my work on my work computer. That said I have a problem with transparent black dots on the top part of its lcd. They are noticeable but not enough to be a problem. It honestly looks like water spots. I figure they are pressure damage from carrying it in my computreker Any ideas ?
