D2Hs Problems...
Jack Megaw, Student/Intern, Photographer

->> The other day I was shooting basketball on my D2Hs and suddenly the focus point wouldn't move (as if the lock was on although it wasn't) Otherwise the button functions just fine - even on the other AF modes.

Then on Saturday I was shooting a weather feature out in the blizzard we just had in Pennsylvania and suddenly the same camera decided that it didn't want to acknowledge my 80-200 AF-D lens. I tried it with a different lens and (magically) it worked. I also tried the lens on a different body - and that worked too.

Has anybody experienced these issues and/or know what the repair costs would come to?

Many Thanks.

-Jack

->> Try rubbing an eraser on the lens contacts on both the lens and body. There are also chemical contact cleaners but unsure of the name(s).

I know the D2h had a soldering problem with the metering system, but I believe that was corrected in the Hs.
