bag for photo and computer stuff

->> I'm a Domke lover. I also have a huge Crumpler back pack for the computer and 300 2.8 which will also fit the Domke contents. What I want is a shoulder bag that carries the Domke contents, the laptop and related doodads that I can still work out of from my shoulder, unlike the back pack. 300 2.8 will live in back pack.

Suggest away.

You might check out the Lowepro Classified line.

->> I second the Urban Disguise 50 or 60 it is amazing how much gear you can stick in either of these bags.

->> I agree about working out of Domke bags, my favorite. I also have a ThinkTank UD bag for when I want more of a briefcase look especially when I fly. But I don't find it as convenient to work out of on my shoulder. The large flap over the top and front gets in the way.

You might look at Tenba "Shootout" series, I think it is more what you are looking for. I have one large Tenba "shoulder" case for my medium format gear and a Tenba air case for my Profoto strobes. Very well made gear!

->> I could not recommend the LowePro Classified series LESS.

Was going to go with Think Tank, but reviews of the Urban Disguise 35, the bag I wanted, were mixed. (I'm looking for something to hold a 12" notebook, two bodies, 80-200 and a bunch of other stuff.) Went with the Classified 220 instead.

Today: first day using the bag. Really did nothing more than carry my gear to the office. Picked it up and set it down a few times, carried it around...didn't bang it in to anything.

Took out my laptop...screen had gotten crushed by other contents of the bag. Through the so-called "padding."

Completely worthless. Notebook was covered by insurance, but...piece of crap bag. Should never have left Think Tank.
