D700 multiple exposures

->> Has anyone else been experimenting with multiple exposures on Nikon cameras? Curious about attempts by others.

I've played around a bit with the feature on the D700 and had some ok results, but nothing I was wowed about. Tried shooting different types of subjects, different colors, exposures etc. Some of the images don't even have a hint of double exposure.

Even the ones where there was a pretty decent mixing of images, they didn't have the same look as film. I know I know, its digital and different things come into play. I wondered if film vs. digital reciprocity might have anything to do with it.

Am I just expecting too much? I'm not doing anything that is important or needs to work, I'd do that in PS, I'm just playing around for myself.

I've found when I strobed myself (self-portrait) in each frame, I was a bit fuller in terms of ghosting.

It's kinda neat with sports photos. I saw some stuff from Mark Rebilas of a pitcher in windup. I've tried it with bikers and skateboarders.

Still kinda playing around with it.

Works fine for me.

I've also done some ballet dancers. I think it works best with a dark background.
