Most of these were shot at 6400 and the one of Roethlisberg and Dixon talking is cropped from a wide horizontal. |

->> Looking at the Packer game images the Getty images pop and the AP are flat. Is is that simple using the Mark IV vs another camera? If so, the Mark IV images look fantastic.
George, did you tweak any settings or is it "out of the box"? Nice images. |

->> You really can't judge by looking at the on-screen images. You may have someone who just set a better white balance, a better toner, a laptop set up better for toning etc. Older cameras can look a lot better than a newer model in the right hands.
Mitch, that is pretty much out-of-the-box with the base settings. I changed a couple for my preferences but did not change the image settings etc.
I'm quite happy how that particular image I mentioned held up to a big crop at 6400.
I had planned on doing a comparison article for the December newsletter as I shot some tests of MKIII and MKIV under the same conditions in pre-game, but I'm busy selling a house and haven't had time to think about anything else. |

| ->> Jonathan Daniel's images do pop. My favorite is #7 in the Yahoo gallery (linked sabove). It pretty much tells the whole story. It is one of the best non-ball shots this season. |

->> John,
I shot side-by-side at the same ISOs with the Canons. Have not compared to a D3. I used to have some test D3 shots done on a pre-production camera that I may be able to dig up, but not sure where they are stored at the moment.
I honestly haven't had time to look at Canons really closely in image comparison, just a quick glance on the computer when I shot them, but the MKIV at 6400 is nice. |
