Quicken for Mac -- any other options?

->> Hi -- I'm here asking about financial management software for the home (personal stuff - not business).
I searched the message board here and didn't see any recent postings on the issue.
That said, I have an old version of Quicken that I use to keep track of the family checking and savings accounts. It is outdated but works.
I would like to upgrade, but from some reviews I read, Quicken 2007 (for Mac) isn't anything to write home about?
Anyone here using Quicken 2007 on a Mac? Anyone using something different?
Again, this is for personal financial stuff -- not for photo business stuff -- so invoicing, client lists and the like are of little importance.
Thanks.

->> I'm using quickbooks pro 2007. Maybe more than you need but it is perfect for my home and business needs and not alot of money to buy.

| ->> I use MYOB and love it. I starting using it when Quickbooks dropped the MAC platform a few years ago. MYOB does everything I need it to do so I never went back when Quicken started making Quickbooks for MAC again. |

->> for personal stuff, i'm use mint.com
because you can link it to your bank accounts, credit cards, mortgage account, etc, it pulls all the data for me automatically. this removes the need for data entry.
it alerts you when you've spent in a certain category out of budget. it provides suggestions on how you can save money. it gives you benchmarking information about how your spending compares against other people.
it's not true accounting software. you don't create an entry for a payment that hasn't really been deducted, so if cash flow is your main goal, it's probably not great.
but for tracking and budgeting it's fantastic. plus, it's free. |

| ->> I also use Mint.com and love it. It works with all of my accounts which means that I don't have to load in or create any transactions. They all appear instantly when they go through and assigns them to different budgeting categories. It's an exceellent tool for personal finance. |
