->> I agree with Kevin.
I kill two birds with one stone with a 24 inch iMac and an El Gato Eye TV. Gets HD channels, has DVR capabilities, and is truly an all in one package. |

->> Yep. I have my 52" Sharp Aquos hooked up to a small gaming pc and it works like a charm. TV looks excellent, too. ;)
But yea, I second the TV-route...they're basically computer monitors these days. |

| ->> So far the Samsung concept is leading the pack. I'm not ready to drop $1700 for an iMac so that my sweetie can have an entertainment combo. Hell, I need a new laptop, my ManCave is holding onto a 32" Trinitron that weighs about as much a a keg of beer, and the cable around her just went digital required. She's just not gonna get too far ahead of Dad. |

->> Range of Samsung computer displays w/HD tuners on Newegg:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=2010190020+1289717890&QksAutoSuggestion=&ShowDeactivatedMark=False&Configurator=&Subcategory=20&description=&Ntk=&CFG=&SpeTabStoreType=&srchInDesc=
I bought a T260HD on Black Friday @ Office Depot and it's the best purchase I've made in a long time. It's got a lot of real estate (25.5") and with the remote, it's effortless to switch to tv and start watching. HD channels look very nice on it. I can't say enough how it's changing the way I use the computer, especially photo viewing/editing. My only gripe is that I can't (or haven't figured out yet) how to have the tv sound on and use the PC display, like listening to a game live but doing computer work. From what I see its one or the other (but switching is just the source button on the remote).
I've seen Newegg's price for it go between $310-330. I can't recommend this display enough though, as long as there's no issues with where you would put it...it does take up some desk space because of the sheer size. Oh, and you don't want to know what I spent on my last LCD screen 6 years ago :( This T260HD is affordable and a great display. Can't go wrong. |
