->> I ordered this last week and should get it today.
I purchased the 2GB ram and 2TB HD version of the server. I also bought a 2TB drive to go with it.
I am interested to see how this thing works, anyone else consider buying this at some point?
It will be replacing my extra cpu I turned into a home server. |

->> Can anyone recommend a nice cheap solution to hold 2 to 4 HD's that I can connect to this home server using e-sata?
I just need more storage, not worried about raid.
Thanks |

->> If you are not using a Raid Configuration, do you need more than two of these drives to be online at ay one time?
Check out the Thermaltake BlacX Duet (or the non-duet if you only need one drive at a time).
It connects vis USB or firewire but it transfers at e-sata speeds according to the description. I had one for a short time to try and recover a few drives I had that went bad, it was wonderful to be able to swap drives when necessary, and the transfer speeds seemed fine. But, I wasn't trying to move a lot of data. |

->> Nick,
I think I would want something that ties all drives together with a single e-sata cable going into the home server. The home server has one e-sata connection which I would like to use with 2 to 4 drives.
So now that I think about it It would seem I would to have them in some sort of raid stripe (?) configuration. |
