| ->> Hi Gang - I have a gig shooting a X mas boat parade. I've shot it for editorial purposes before, where I just needed to get the winners, but haven't had the responsibility of getting every boat. I have the Canon 1d M3 and a 430EX. The client will be making 8 x 10s. Would you guys shoot straight natural light with the ISO gassed up or with fill flash (less ISO)? The challenge is getting the lights to look crisp and not over-illuminate the boat. Any thoughts? Thanks! |

->> I always like to use some fill flash and drag the shutter just enough to pick up the boat lights. Staight natural light leaves the boats too dark unless they are close to a bright light source. Here are some from last year. http://www.hometownannapolis.com/slideshow/12292600342008LightsParade
Good luck.
