->> I am going to be doing some basketball video in the near future and am looking for any suggestions or recommendations on optimum setup up the camera. I will be using a Canon XH A1 and want to be able to do a couple of things with the finished video.
* Make game DVD for distribution and rebroadcast via our local cable company.
* Create highlight summary for Vimeo posting.
The local cable company has no specifications or required settings. They just want a DVD that they will then convert for broadcast.
I am most interested in the following variables but any input is gladly accepted.
Do I want to do drop frame or non-drop?
60i, 30F or 24F for framerate?
Does instant AF or normal AF work better for action sports?
I might also shoot some of the final video with a 5D MkII and combine the footage in FCP. If I do, does this change any recommendations.
Audio will come via 2 Senheiser wireless lav mics and possibly some background sound from a zoom H4.
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide. |
