past thread mentioning newspaper shying from internet?

->> I tried searching for it, but I think there was a thread talking about how newspapers initially barred themselves from embracing the internet. And something about Murdoch leading it? Anyone help with that? I am giving a talk on a panel next week about the demise of the newspaper industry and that tickled the neurons, but don't remember if I saw it here, or just had bad chinese food?

->> Let me clarify a little more. I remember reading something I swore was here about a time in the 90's when something happened that led newspapers to initially ban or ignore the internet. I don't know if it was an FCC thing or not, but its stuck in my brain like a sesame seed. Does this sound familiar to anyone?
I meant to add OT in the subject but overshot it. Sorry.
