->> A little more than 3 years ago, I was literally dragged out of western Montana kicking and screaming by my wife-to-be and settled in the foreign world of Rhode Island. When I feel homesick or the grind of living and working on the East Coast gets to be too much, all I have to do is look up Chris Peterson's member page and his amazing photos do more for me than any return trip could ever do.
I was very happy to see Chris's photos featured on Boston.com's The Big Picture blog today, it's perfect way to view these photos. There are a lot of nice comments too!
If you have never been to Glacier in person, Chris's photos are the next best thing.
Absolutely beautiful photos Chris, please keep it up for my sanity!

| ->> Really impressive, and kudos to Chris. Most of us could spend a lot more than 100 days in that region and never see some of the smaller species (marten, owls) he photographed. Wolves in that area are much tougher to find than in, say, Yellowstone. Awesome stuff. |

| ->> I loved these 100 selections, and the words that accompanied to narrate. He used both digital and film, and a variety of cameras. Thanks for posting. |

->> Thanks guys. So far this year I've carried the 400 on a monopod about 500 miles. In fact, it feels weird when I don't have it on my back.
One hiker saw me coming down a trail one day and said "That looks painful."
I said, "The pain ended a long time ago."
Happy holidays. |
