Arena lighting question and successful 1/500th sync on TT1!

->> OK, First off, I just want to put some specific information on here that I had problems finding and I got to work. Maybe someone else is looking for the same answer I was.
I personally got the new Pocketwizard MiniTT1 to fire my old school pocketwizard classic (16 channel, black box) receivers on my arena setup. What is really cool about this is that I got both my cameras to sync at 1/500th (1dMKii and 5d) I had no problems with range or misfires and no problems with the high speed sync. You cannot sync above 500 (you have to have the new ttl on the receiver end to do that.) I am using the TT1 for a transmitter, two classics for receivers to fire 4 white lighting Ultra 1200s. Lag offsets are -1500 for the 1dMkII and -2250 for the 5D.
Anyhow, I know that all the pocketwizard docs mention all the receivers BUT the classics, but I feel like I am not the only one with an older arena install using them. So there you go... it works. Sync away.
NOW FOR A QUESTION! I have four lights and two receivers. I would like one receiver to fire all four lights and the other to fire just two of them. The catwalks are very low and the far lights show in the frame on anything sub 70mm. I can't use channels on a multimax because I want to use the TT1 (bright ambient light, need the high sync).
So has anyone tried building a circuit using diodes to restrict the flow of voltage to one direction so the circuits would be distinct with one wizard and combined with the other one? Did it work for you? I was thinking something like this:

Thanks in advance for the people smarter than me!

| ->> Sorry, misunderstood your question. I thought you had two lights in one channel and two lights on the other channel. |

Not sure if there is much interest in this, I might have a pretty specific problem here. But because I hate to find old threads with no answers... Here is one: this works perfectly.
Wire the diagram exactly as above and you can overlay two distinct circuits on the same set of wires! Score!
You will need two 1n4004 diodes. Two to a pack from radio shack. http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2036270
What would have cost me much more (plus my new found high sync) cost me only $0.99.
Enjoy!
