OT-anti virus software

->> I use Norton, have not had any problem, but the fees for virus subscriptions have almost doubled. Before I pay these confiscatory fees, I'm curious; what's everyone using? Been using Norton a long time, and maybe there's something new and better out there I may have missed.

->> Phil, I have used AVG's anti-virus, both the free version and the paid version, for many years. It is very good. Just go to www.avg.com or free.avg.com.

->> I hate it when the anti-virus software bogs down the computer do it's noticeably slower. After a lot of checking around, I got the free trial offer of Vipre. It was every bit as good as claimed, and other than for the results, you never even know it's running!

It's a fair price for a standard subscription, and for a mere $20 or so you can upgrade to a site license so you can install it on all your computers.

I will never go back to Norton. I did like MacAffee, while it was offered free by AOL. I'm tired of paying twice, once for anti-virus and once for anti-spyware. I don't want an anti-virus program that keeps bugging me about unnecessary things. CA proved interesting, but when it was time to renew, I didn't like the way it somewhat took over my whole computer. Vipre seems the perfect answer for my needs.

For anyone who's not sure - try the free trial test, and see for yourself. The results speak louder than anything I can say here.
