| ->> There are some pix on www.uspresswire.com . Reminds me of the World Cup Final between Argentina and England (maybe) back in 1986 (i think) where the Argentinian hand-balled the winning goal. Ugh. Instant replay should be used. Even the guy who touched the ball with his hand admitted it. |

->> Actually, the player was Maradona, the goal was called the "Hand of God," - Maradona was quoted as saying the only hand that touched the ball was the hand of God. It was the first goal of a semi-final match against England. Shortly thereafter he scored one of the best goals in World Cup History taking a ball 60 yards and the entire England defense and midfield with him.

best goal of the century
The World Cup is around the corner I can't wait. And don't worry France will be eliminated in the first round, just like in the last World Cup. Ireland deserved to win. |

->> In this situation I think video replays would me amazing. Like what they do in rugby where the have a video referee. At the same time though refereeing mistakes are part of the game.
The "Hand of God" goal, and even (although you'll never hear me admit it) England may have won the World Cup in 1966 with a goal that allegedly did not cross the line.
Personally I've always liked the fact that the kids playing in the park go by exactly the same rules as the professionals on the pitch - with two linesman and a referee - it's served us well for the past 150 years, I don't see why it should change now.
