->> Yes, folks, time for shooters in the South to gather 'round a large boiling pot of Gulf crustaceans and other stuff that would normally require a response from your local HAZMAT squad and a stern warning from OSHA.
The leaves have turned all shades of Kodachrome and fallen, the mercury retreated south of the Mason-Dixon line, and the gridiron season is almost drawn to a close.
Time to sit around and let the traffic melt away and enjoy some Swamp Fired shrimp and taters, and maybe a burger or two. Join us following the Iron Bowl (that's the Alabama-Auburn game for you folks not covering the SEC) next Friday in Auburn.
John Reed says he's bringing the burner and pot, and a grill for cooking up some victuals for those not into dining on sea creatures.
We'll meet in the media lot (also known as the Old Track at Auburn) roughly an hour and a half following the game, and light the fire. Directions? Just ask the folks in the Photo work room under the south endzone of Jordan-Hare Stadium.
Don't matter if your a Sportsshooter member or not. If you're planning to come, drop me or John a line so we can get a handle on how much shrimp we need to get. |

No can do next Friday. As for Delta, well, I'm an Elite.
Best I can hope for is Iowa to get a bowl berth against some pansy SEC team from AL (ducks to avoid getting hit by a empty beer bottle thrown at my head) :) :) :)
