->> I don't know how many have had hands on experience of Nikon's latest.
The brochure says "Improved AF", really improved from the D3 or just marketing blurb. In other words is it really worth the extra $? |

->> I tried one out last Tuesday at the NPS "open" day in Edinburgh and the AF felt a little more responsive than on my D3.
It seemed to lock on faster and track a little easier but that could have been as much to do with the Mk 2 70-200 VR that was mounted on the camera.
The AF-ON button is *certainly* more responsive and apparently easier to use if you're wearing gloves out in the cold.
The short version is try one for yourself to see: it won't be long before they start showing up in stores. |
