->> I have NX v.1.3 running on a G5 2.3ghz maxed with ram (14G).
NX is soooo slow and clunky, it makes it brutally painful to use, but renders NEF files so much better than Adobe or Aperture software.
Did the changes in NX2 improve performance?
Is it worth the upgrade, or are there still performance issues?
FWIW, I run LR2 and the latest Aperture software on this tower with no problems.

->> Yes, there is a huge difference in performance and stability and you will also gain a retouch brush.

->> NX2 is much better. Also check out NIK and Viveza. http://www.niksoftware.com/viveza/usa/entry.php?view=intro/usa_viveza2_anno...
It rocks and is used from PS. It has the control points NX uses.

->> Thanks guys, I'll give it a shot.
Kent > I've tried Viveza plugin w/ Aperture, it's cool and I do understand the Nik and Nikon connection, but I'm mostly interested in the RAW developing/rendering aspect of NX.
It renders even D3 files shot 1600 and above so much cleaner,and with better color than Adobe camera raw/LR or Aperture.
Thanks again.
