Al Diaz, Photographer Miami | Fl | USA | Posted: 11:40 PM on 11.12.09 ->> FYI, Dave Martin suffered a car accident while returning from Gulf Shores, AL covering Tropical Storm Ida on Tuesday. Dave's SUV hydroplaned on the highway and he went down an embankment and rolled over many times. Thankfully, he was wearing a seat belt. Dave suffered an L-2 fracture and is in a lot of pain. Please let us know if you hear anything else. Mullet was in Montgomery while I was in Birmingham. He taught me everything I know about big sports coverage. To echo Mark Terrell's comment...Dave is probably the only person I know who has covered 3 Div I NCAA football games in a single day. He covered an Alabama game in the morning. Hit the second half of the Univeristy of Alabama at Birmingham's inaugural Division I game in Birmingham and then made it to the night kickoff of the Auburn game.
