->> First post to the message board here at SportsShooter and am excited to have an image from last Ski season chosen as shot of the year by the editors at Skiing Magazine. I thought I would share with the community here and I look forward to contributing and getting to know the members and their work going foward.
You can check the image out in the upcoming December issue of Skiing Magazine (photo issue) as well as here: http://www.kevinwinzeler.com/Portfolios/Sports-Photography-in-Utah/3476157_...
The editors note and how the spread will appear in the magazine can be found in a recent blog post I put up (scroll down): http://kevinwinzeler.blogspot.com/2009/11/2009-skiing-magazine-shot-of-year...
Thanks for checking it out!
Oh, and is there a way to embed images in the threads?

->> Thanks guys.
@Daniel - I was directly underneath the rock face, just a foot or so away from the rock. This was one of those drops that was actually skiable right to where I wanted to shoot from as opposed to having to hike up. Was a perfect set-up.

->> Really great stuff.
I would hate the idea of lugging lighting equipment up the side of a mountain.
I have enough trouble lugging myself. |
