CANON CP-E4 BATTERY PACK

->> Has anyone ever bought an after market one of these? The Canon ones are £120 but some the cheaper alternatives are £30.

Has anyone got any experience on this as for what I can tell all the power comes from the AA batteries so unlike alternative batteries the risk seems minimal to my Speedlite's.

I want to increase the recycling times on some Speedlite's for Basketball but equally saving a few pounds would be appreciated.

->> I'm intrigued by this... I didn't know there were aftermarket alternatives.

Do you have a link for one of these products?

->> I'm bringing up this old thread because I just noticed that Flash Zebra is scheduled to start selling CP-E4 alternatives (as well as Nikon versions, already available) later this week:

Everything I have ever bought from them has been durable and reliable, I'm looking forward to hearing how these battery packs work. I'm about to say "buh-bye" to Digital Camera Battery. (And David they ship to the UK)

->> Quantum sells a battery pack, it is a cable that then runs a flash and the camera. I had one for the Turbo and the Quantum 1. I just bought the cable for the flash and camera (still using MK II). The Quantum uses the non battery inert for the camera battery.

->> I bought one from Flash Zebra. I'm using it as a second battery pack for flashes at weddings. I haven't used it much so I can't comment on it to much. The red light is a little dimmer on the copy compared to Canon's. But the price is much cheaper then hte Canon brand.
