| ->> Give some recommendations for a very nicely padded bag to hold a small amount of gear(camera, wide zoom, flash, turbo batt, remote). I want to protect the gear from vibrations while riding motorcycle. |

->> I use the Crumpler Karachi Outpost and used the previous model, Brian's Hot Tub, for years before getting the Karachi Outpost as a warranty replacement.
It is a huge bag. I have fit three bodies, a 400mm 2.8, a wide angle zoom, a 70-200 2.8, a laptop and all the laptop doodads in it from time to time. I typically only carry that much stuff and a 300 2.8 in it.
Even with that load, it is comfortable and easy to carry. Very durable. |

->> Burton Zoom...it's weatherproof, holds everything you need, doesn't look like a camera bag, unzips from the the part that is on your back, so nothing can fall out. It's great for Washington weather, and travels everywhere with me.
I think I got the older model though...my friend got the newer one and its a bit too large IMO |

->> I second the Burton Zoom. I got it just to shoot snowboarding and skiing, but quickly found myself using it all year round. Also check out F-Stop, they have some pretty good stuff.

->> Mark,
I don't ride a motorcycle so take this for what it's worth. I would talk with some folks at your area Honda store and see what they might suggest. You have to be the judge for how bad the vibration is on your motorcycle, but I would think it would cause some of the screws in the lens to come lose over time. I thinkn you would have less vibration issues using the backpack on your back. But I suppose you have better protection keeping the gear in the saddle bags if you're in an accident. |
