iMac vs MacBook Pro?

->> For various reasons I'm thinking about replacing my iMac with one of the new 17in MacBook Pros; my question is how good is the screen on these now? I notice a big difference between the screens on my 13in MacBook and 24in iMac (and I don't just mean the obvious difference in size); is the image quality on the new MacBook Pros as good as an iMac monitor or is there still a big gap?
