| ->> Just curious if anyone is using their still cameras to shoot both stills and video for newspapers and web during Friday night football games and any tips or advice. How much more are you charging and how are you handling rights? The local paper I string for is looking for a single short clip (no editing on my end) of game action for web along with photos for print. Is it okay to put a 70-200 on a stick now that I'm shooting video?! |

->> Brian - I am by no means an expert on the subject but have tried shooting some video with 5D Mk II at a football game just to get some practice with the gear. I found it difficult, even with a monopod, to use the 70-200 because I could not keep up with the focusing and ended up with way too much motion shake.
I had much better luck with 16-35, 24-70 and 24 prime. The DOF was much more forgiving.
I will defer to others for input on how to charge for it as I have the same questions myself. |
