| ->> As much as I enjoyed the pictures, I really enjoyed the narrative that went with them. That was good stuff! A second career as a suspense novelist is calling Michael (plus, I hear the deadlines for novelists are measured with sundials). |

->> I know who the first victim in his premiere novel would have been.... The PR person, behind stage, hit with a Canon 70-200 IS lens. Someone tell the police they are looking for a bloody white Canon lens.
See, this is why Nikon is the preferred camera of murderers. It's black and black hides a multitude of sins. Blood, brain matter etc. |

| ->> Yet another example of why I like the little netbooks. Never know when your going to have to stick one down the front of your pants! |

->> This is a fine example of why I have a love/hate relationship with being a newspaper photog. Though I'd be lying if I said I said I wasn't hooked on the rush of these kind of situations, or that I could even come close to producing those shots under those constraints.
NICE work Mike, doesn't even begin to cover it. |

->> Great shots regardless of deadline. Most of us couldn't of done better even if we would have had the entire concert to shoot.
Well done.

->> oy..I know this feeling too well, Michael, from years of shooting concerts on deadline. S-T-R-E-S-S
a few years ago, Destiny's Child (with Beyonce) reunited and were playing at Madison Square Garden. I had a 9:30 deadline..9:15-no band. 9:20-no band.
9:45-no band. I call the paper-"do you know when they are coming on stage?" I wish.
10:30-NO BAND! WTF?!?!? The audience is getting violent
10:40'ish-FINALLY
they held a spot for the photo but talk about stress. |

| ->> I was there as well, my fifth U2 concert, everyone has been amazing. I think I may have seen Michael sitting on the ground outside before the show, laptop open, cameras all around him, figured he was a PJ waiting for the show to start. Outstanding photos!! |

| ->> Steven, it's not as far as you think! Maybe 5-6 hours. I've had it take me longer than that to get into and home from Los Angeles to where I live! |

I feel your pain. I used to live down that way.
And, please, call me Steve. Putting the 'n' on seems so formal. |
