->> Hmmmmm. It shows some interesting features. I use Lightroom every day for portrait presentation and selection, slide shows, and web display of images.
I am really interested to see how the watermarking tool works. Now when I want to put a big logo on my images for web display, I have to export images via a plugin I had to buy, then import them back in to Lightroom. Having a more robust watermark took could save me quite a bit of time.
Also, the noise reduction tool sounds interesting.
I might just have to try 'er out! Thx for the link... |

->> i just accidentally made an audio slideshow that looked pretty good.
I've been slow to pick up the all-in-one banner, but Adobe is making a very compelling case. |

| ->> I've been trying it out for a few hours and seems to run considerably slower than Lightroom 2. Cycling through images after importing seems to be bogging down my system. I'm on my laptop right now, running a 2.0 GHZ Core 2 Duo Macbook with 2GB of RAM. Curious if others are seeing slowdowns as well. |

| ->> I hope they've made libraries share-able like iTunes does with music libraries. That would be ideal when trying to prep images for multiple designers. |

->> FYI...
If you attempt to "EXPORT VIDEO"... and you have soundtrack checked... but no audio file selected... you will gat a rather arcane error message...
just uncheck the SOUNDTRACK box and you're good to go
Thank you to Adobe for solving that for me

->> As for LR 2.x, the better the proc, the better the performance. Ram is pretty much not a player in this. Going from a 2.3 GHz (single)/4 GB to a quad 2.6/4GB produced over a average 10x loadtime increase.
Haven't tried 3.0 yet... if it'll load independently from my 2.5, I'll plug it into the desktop. If not, the laptop is always available - just means shuttling images. |

->> Okay so I have had it for a little bit now...
For me it is slower, images take much longer to load and show adjustments. I have over 30,000 images in my library that I linked it to. I wonder if that is the reason for it being so slow. Though it really shouldn't be because it is on an internal hard drive.
I love the new export options to flickr, wish they would add more places.
I do like the new import look that you get as well. Overall it is a step in the right direction. |
