iMovie and time lapse duration

->> I'm trying to create a time lapse video from stills using the basic versions of iMovie and Quick Time (eg not QT Pro) However at present it is too long for my needs and in any case would benefit from running faster through the images.

Despite setting the shortest duration that I have been able of 0.24 seconds for each image on iMovie, keeping transition durations to the minimum and, playing with the frames per second setting when exporting using Quick Time, I have been unable to change the overall duration.

Does anybody know of a way to do this with the software I am using please ? I don't envisage the need currently to produce further time lapse projects so don't want the expense of buying QT Pro or any of the movie editing software mentioned in past threads at this stage if it can be avoided.

Thanks

->> you can simply save the clip, export it to a new MOV file, then re-import it back into iMovie and speed it up again... helps if you start with the HD clip as you'll run it through compression twice.... hope this helps you!!! pm-r
