->> I have to set up an ordering gallery for a client and since I've never used Photo Shelter's self fulfillment service I'm looking for opinions from folks who have.
Thanks in advance |

->> It's great, after someone orders you'll receive an email to inform you an order was placed, $ gets exchanged, and you self-fulfill and ship. Pretty simple!
Did you have specific questions or concerns?
Cheers,

->> Was actually wondering about turnaround speed completing an order and quality of the finished product.
Thanks

->> Most of that on self-fulfill would depend on you.
On the photoshelter side, it's just how fast the customer completes the order process and makes the funds available. Then you get an email and order/produce the self-fulfill product and ship. |

->> Self-fulfill means they will process the order, take care of the financial transaction, send you a list of the images ordered and you have to print and ship them yourself using whatever printer and shipping method you want.
You can also set up your account in a way that you can review the order before it goes to printing, upload revised or resized versions, etc. and then submit it to their printer who will take care of shipping for you. Shipping charges are included in the transaction costs.
If you upload fully finished images, you can also skip the review process and once the payment transaction is complete the order goes directly to the printer for production and shipping and you just get notified that it all happened.
The ship time from their printer once the order has been placed seems to be 1-3 days and I think the image quality is pretty good and the cost to you seems very reasonable to me.
From talking with some of their staff, they are in the process of expanding their variety of printers you can select, but do not have any specifics on who they might be adding or when. Maybe Alan can add some insight. |

->> Angel/Keven,
Self-fulfillment means you, the account holder, will fulfill the order, not PhotoShelter.
If you're talking about the automated-fulfilment service through PhotoShelter's partner printing lab...all my customers have been happy and I've never had a complaint.
Cheers,

| ->> How long before photoshelter cuts you a check? Is it 30 days or after to reach a certain amount in sales? If this is the case were I can print at a lab close by and ship out on my own I would save "HUGE" in printing costs. |

->> Jesse,
I have my PayPal account linked to my PhotoShelter, so I get paid instantly if there is a sale, although there are normal PayPal fees associated with it. No minimum payment, funds are directly and instantly deposited in your PayPal account. You may also use a Merchant account with a service such as NetBilling.com, but I find PayPal is the easiest method. |

| ->> Robert, you're right, I meant that option where you don't have to do anything but upload the imaged photos and set up the pricing profile and the rest is handled by the lab and PS. You just sit back and watch the thousands of dollars add up to your PayPal account. |
