ProShow Gold or Soundslides?

->> I've decided to take one baby step towards multi media by putting together some slide shows. To date, I've been trying out the demos for ProShow Gold and Soundslides.
While I do really like the simplicity of soundslides, it's obviously geared towards posting slideshows on the web. ProShow Gold obviously gives a user more tools, control, and options including burning completed slideshows to DVD. At this point, I'm leaning more towards ProShow Gold but would be interested in hearing about other options. |

| ->> Final Cut Express. Being able to edit your audio in the program, plus greater control of image timing, etc.. is great [I previously used soundslides] |

->> I've just completed a quick and dirty slide show with the ProShow Gold demo; stills, music, text, and nothing fancy on the transitions. I then burned it to a DVD to test out on a 42" plasma. I'll spare everyone and not bother uploading.
All in all, I was pretty impressed with ProShow Gold. I'll have to get a demo of Producer and see if it provides any additional benefits to me beyond the Gold version. I've never been much of a multimedia person but thought it was time to take the plunge. I played around with Premier a few years ago but just really didn't have the patience to edit video so probably never gave it a fair shake.
Thanks to all who offered their opinions. |

| ->> I'll put in a plug for MemoriesOnTV. If you can get past the ridiculous name of the program, it has much to offer. |
