Chris Jordans albatross/plastic images

->> Just came across these images of Chris Jordan's documentation of baby albatross chicks who have died at the Midway atoll because the mothers get plastic from the Great Pacific Garbage Patch thinking its food. The babies eat the plastic and eventually die.

There are images at Chris' site, chrisjordan.com

There is video and more images at a blog,
http://www.midwayjourney.com/

Really interesting project. Such a simple image to make, yet the impact and variety Chris has captured is a sight to see.

If anyone is wondering what the Great Pacific Garbage Patch is, just Google it or check out this link ...

This whole situation is so incredibly tragic and senseless. And unfortunately, I don't see a solution anytime soon.
