->> Sort of. They are relaunching some of their cameras and have commissioned The Impossible Project to create some Polaroid-branded film.

->> Reading this thread makes me smile. New Nikon D3s is announced people are like "meh." New Polaroid film, which is probably made the exact same way for the past almost 40 years, looks like its coming back and we're all ready to throw a ticker tape parade. I love it!
What's even better is, Sportsshooter is probably the only place where people are this excited over it. Every other mention I've seen of this on gadget and tech websites, the trolls come out of the woodwork about how whatever digital camera they have is the greatest and anyone would be stupid to wait for a picture to develop. |

->> The reason Gearheads hate Polaroid is because they can't Fix their screwups in Photoshop!! Most of these Gearheads can't make a decent Image to save their lives without having to go to Photoshop to fix what they didn't do right to begin with!! If you screw the Pooch on film, you are left with an unusable piece of film. Most of these guys don't know much about Exposure, Composition or photography for that matter.
OK, Rant off!!
BTW.....
Woo-Hoo!! |

->> Yamil,
Most days I am thankful I learned with Kodachrome, it taught me that I really shouldn't screw it up. |

I think your rant was misplaced, unfair and inaccurate.

->> What, no Inappropriate??
Mark, You would change your tune if you ever read 4 threads at DPR!!
Seems that there's not that many there that put any importance on the basics of Photography, the basics we learned shooting thousands of sheets of 4x5 Polaroid, Tri X and a Billion Kodachrome Slides!!
I don't know about you, but I learned on these mediums, and I learned that I needed to know:
Exposure
Composition
Lighting
Things that the new Generation can fix on Photoshop, and they thin I'm stupid wanting to do them while I make the Image, on camera!!
Polarod taught me that!!
The Thousands of sheets I shot during my three years at Brooks back in 1982.

->> Good news for anyone who saw it sold out for the last couple hours - PX-100 just got relisted as being in stock. Something tells me the response overwhelmed what they figured the initial demand would be.
Now we all just have to keep our fingers crossed that they get to work on 4x5 emulsions. |

->> It's so interesting to see this factory revert from a huge, mass-production setup to a limited, almost craftsman-style run.
Guess I'll order a few packs and put my "sit-around" cameras back to work. |
