->> I have been contacted by a clothing company to shoot some on location portraits of an up and coming athlete. Said clothing company is huge and wants to own the complete copyright to the images. They intend to use them on billboards, internet sites, magazine articles etc. The athlete would be wearing his clothing they designed for him in some urban settings. My question is i need to come up with a creative fee quote. What should i charge for something like this.
I have worked for them once before but i just shot a picture of a guy in a black tee shirt against a white background so they could cut him out. Very down and dirty nothing special. I charged them an hourly fee last time. But this time its much more involved.
Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Louis |

Next, go here and it will give you the numbers you need in order to LICENSE the image:

The cost of the above mentioned book and software alone are a fraction of the cost and will more than pay for themselves for the cost of the mistake you are about to make on pricing this job.
Prepare for the tidal wave of advice and criticisms to follow. Don't take any of it negatively, but as an educational experience. |
