->> Last week I came down with a pretty bad head cold. This past Tuesday I finally went to doctors who diagnosed a severe sinus and double ear infection. Cold is a little better but my right ear is plugged, hearing is affected and has been for 3 days now.
I have been taking Afrin and a decongestant, yawned, chewed gum, used steam and nothing is working. Doctors office said that my tubes are plugged and it will clear.
I need to fly to Charlotte Wednesday evening and I am reading that it could get ugly for me from dizziness to punctured ear drum and severe pain.
Any advice other than not flying?? It really is not an option. |

->> Flying with severely plugged up sinuses and an ear infection can have some significant physical ramifications.
Check with your Doc since none of us are qualified to know the seriousness of your ear infection. |

| ->> If your primary doc gives you an answer you don't like or understand completely ask for a referral to an otolaryngologist (ear, nose and throat) |
