Question using Lightroom

->> I have been using Lightroom to process my Nikon RAW files. My question is can you process Nikon and Canon RAW files together (same folder) at the same time or should I edit them separately(separate folders)? I would like to get the most consistent results so the images look alike.
Thank you

->> Thanks Jeff,
I shoot Nikon D300 & D700 and the files look the same when processed with lightroom. I recently shot a wedding using Nikon and my 2nd shooter used a pair Canon 5D. I want to organize all of the photos from the wedding (Nikon and Canon files) in a single folder and do RAW processing in Lightroom so all the files look very close to the same. Is there a problem doing this, or should I process the Canon and Nikon files separately?

| ->> As far as I know, it should not be a problem. I frequently process Phase and Canon files from the same shoot with no difficulties. I have not tried it with Nikon and Canon but I think the results would be the same. |

->> FJ,
Does Lightroom load each cameras profile automaticaly or do you process using the adobe default profile? I want the colors and contrast to look as close as possible.
Thanks

->> Dwayne -
It doesn't matter how many cameras you shoot with and what brands as long as Lightroom can process those raw images - you can have them in the same folder as well. Lightroom reads each individual file and knows what camera shot what image via the images EXIF data. |

->> Michael, that is what I thought, but I couldn't confirm it until you stepped in. Thanks.
Thanks to all for you quick response and input.
I think that Jeff's comment was great also. |
